The problem with any school based comminity is participation...I'd guess our Linkedin group is probably already larger than any community we could build. The problem is duplication...people having to enter all their info over and over as they are invited to join more and more network/communities. Check out Familylink... this is Paul Allen (prominent LDS guy with truly good intentions) this has been built by piggybacking off of the data that so many BYU-I Students and Alumni have already entered into Facebook. Familylink/Facebook would allow for a BYU-Idaho application and that would make getting students/alumni to use it much much easier.
